Dr. Demetri Yannopoulos, with the Division of Cardiology, will be one of only two who are honored this Wednesday, October 14th with the Dean’s Distinguished Research Lectureship. Not only will he be honored for his work in the field of cardiac arrest and resuscitation, but he will also be giving a speech sharing his research history.
DOM Faculty members will be honored as well, as inductees on the Wall of Scholarship for having high-impact papers that were cited at least 1,000 times as indication by two of three major citation indices.
Those being honored as inductees are as follows:

- Jay Cohn, MD, Medicine's Division of Cardiology
- Robert Foley, MD, Medicine's Renal Diseases and Hypertension
- Gary Francis, MD, Medicine's Division of Cardiology
- Robert Hebbel, MD, Medicine's Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation
- Alan Hirsch, MD, Medicine's Division of Cardiology
Daniel Weisdorf, MD recently received the 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (ASBMT). The award, presented at the ASBMT annual meeting, recognizes Dr. Weisdorf for the continuing contributions he has made throughout his career to the field of blood and marrow transplantation.
