Dr. Gary S. Francis from the Division of Cardiology is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. He was recently honored by the American College of Cardiology in 2014 with the Distinguished Teacher Award and by the Heart Failure Society of America with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Robert Hebbel of the Department of Medicine Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation Division has just been announced as the 2014 winner of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Ernest Beutler Lectureship. This is one of the highest honors bestowed by the Society and reflects his long scientific career studying the biology of Sickle Cell Disease.
